BULK-BILLED MRI FOR MEDICARE-ELIGIBLE SCANS FROM NOVEMBER 1,2022

The MRI Medicare equipment eligibility requirements up to October 31, 2022, known as licencing, have been removed from all MRI machines located in Modified Monash Model Areas 2-7.

Territory X-Ray Services in Darwin is eligible to provide Medicare-funded MRI scans.
This measure will improve access to Medicare-eligible MRI scans in the Northern Territory.
It will make the process easier for both patients and providers.
